 How to get here:
By road: Knysna is approximately 70 km from George on the N2 national highway and takes approximately 50 minutes. A map to the house will be provided on confirmation of booking.
By air: from Johannesburg and Cape Town International Airports, there are daily connecting flights to George International Airport, where transfers and car hire are available. Plettenburg Bay Airport is 25 minutes away and served by SA Airlink and private charter aircraft.
Seasons
Summer: October – March
Kynsna has a warm summer climate with rainfall in spring. Bring cool summer clothes, beachwear, beach towels and raingear.
Winter: April – September
The evenings get cool but the days are moderate. Bring warm clothes for the evenings and windcheater or jersey for daytime. One can expect rain in autumn months.
Remember to bring good walking shoes, sun hat, sunscreen, field glasses for the view and birdwatching, your camera and a good book.
